The Olympic Games 2021 have been scheduled in Tokyo. It was originally scheduled for last year from July 24 to August 9, 2020, but as the result of the Covid-19 pandemic it was rescheduled for 2021. This is the first time that OLYMPIC GAMES have been rescheduled, rather than canceled. The Summer Paralympics will be held between 24 August and 5 September, 16 days after the completion of the Olympics. Olympics 2021 will be introducing new competitions including 3×3 basketball, freestyle BMX, and Madison and cycling, as well as further mixed events. Karate, sport climbing, surfing, and skateboarding are this year’s Olympic Debuts.

A total of 11,000 athletes from 206 are expected to participate in 33 sports in Tokyo Olympics 2021. Total 127 Indians athletes Men and Women have participated in various games of the Tokyo Olympics 2021. The no. of male participants are more than female participants. 67 Indian Athletes are men and 57 Indian Athletes are women in the Tokyo Olympics 2021. If we talk about medals Mirabai Chanu opened the medal chartbuster this year. She won a silver medal in the 49 KG weightlifting category.

The medals for the Tokyo Olympics are made from recycled electronics. 5000 gold, silver, and bronze medals were made from recycled electronics sourced from Japan.
