She had said how “An entrepreneur’s life is full of hustle and setbacks. They need courage to smile through it.” This is the same aura with which she represents herself on India’s new favourite platform for budding businessmen and businesswomen – Shark Tank India.

Even though she has gained a lot of fame and has become a social media sensation from being a Shark on the show, she is a woman whose majestic, multicoloured cape showcases the multitudes she has gone through and the multitudes she carries along.
A debut author of “The Dolphin and the Shark”, Namita Thapar, is an Indian businesswoman, who is the Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals in Pune, Maharashtra. She acts as a judge and investor on Shark Tank India and gives her insights on different business ideas.
Namita Thapar comes with a strong educational background. She was a student who always excelled in her academics and went on to pursue a B.com from Savitribai Phule Pune University and further pursued an M.B.A from Fuqra School of Business at Duke University, Durham, North Carolina.
Namita is now the board member of the advisory board of her alma mater Fuqra School of Business, branch in India. She began her professional journey with Guidant Corporation in the United States, where she worked for six years, after which she joined her family business as an Executive Director in Emcure Pharmaceuticals.
Though Namita Thapar is majorly an entrepreneur, what makes her stance in this field rather stronger is her leading role that fuels the drives that matter.
She is also thus involved in several government initiatives, including the NITI Aayog’s “Women’s Entrepreneurship Platform,” the “Digital Health Task Force” and the “Champions of Change.”
Having achieved the image of an all-rounder, she also started her YouTube channel “Unconditional Yourself”, where she hosts discussions on female empowerment. She is also an active investor in, and founder of Incredible Ventures Ltd., which is an academic organization providing knowledge of Entrepreneurship to young minds from the age group of 11 to 18 years old, and her company is located in various cities such as Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Chennai and Ahmedabad.
If her achievements are not enough to inspire you, Namita Thapar has also been granted various accolades – “ The Economic Times’ 40 Under Forty award”, “Barclays NextGen Leader Award” and “The Economic Times Women Ahead in 2017”.
Namita Thapar not only wears the shoes of an entrepreneur but also of a Coach, a reality TV Show judge and now also an Author. She is responsible for the 61 billion Rupees ( $730 million) worth of business that her company Emcure Pharmaceuticals is noted at in Indian business.
